About Us

AUSTI

Well, a little bit about myself, I am a Washingtonian, raised on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. I moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University and I haven't left Utah since. I spend most of my time working (gotta pay the bills!), but when I have free time I love to read or go rock climbing with my husband. I am OBSESSED with chocolate, particularly mint brownies, and love getting in my "cozzies" with a cup of hot chocolate and a book.

I met Claire and Amber at BYU where we all happened to live in the same dorm! I have always enjoyed getting together with them for lunch and they have both remained close friends with me as I've left BYU. I am so excited to work on this project with them! If anything, this is a great opportunity to stay in touch with them and have them over for dinner!
Laurel graduated from high school with me. Since then we have worked together at two different company's and have managed to become great friends!
Reinna is my little sister, and we are both VERY competitive with each other, so I'm sure she thinks she's going to finish this list before me. Well that is just not gunna fly with me, so bring it on Reinna!

I am super psyched on this project, and I know it's going to take a long time, but I can't wait to read these books and to hear what the other 4 girls have to say about the same books! Feel free to comment on the main reviews or the lists themselves!

CLAIRE

Hello, future readers! If you're dying to know about the insane people behind this project, you've come to the right place.

I'm from the Seattle area, and like all Seattleites I stubbornly believe it to be the best city in the world. After high school I moved to Utah to attend BYU, where I was fortunate enough to meet both Amber and Austi. I also recently lived in Edinburgh while on an internship with the Scottish Parliament. Now I'm back at school for one final year, pursuing a philosophy degree with a minor in political science. And since I'm sure you're wondering how I plan to survive on my arcane specializations, rest assured that I aim to attend law school and become an insufferable corporate lawyer.

Growing up, I was surrounded by a love of the written word: my mom is a brilliant English teacher and always kept our vast library stocked with classics. As a result, I've spent countless hours bent over books, many of which are on this list. But the sad truth is that I rarely finish all the books that I start, only investing myself enough to get a general idea. This project is penance for my intellectual dilettantism.

Aside from reading, I spend my time playing video games, shopping, preaching social activism, composing music, and dealing with my Joss Whedon feelings. I can never say no to pistachio ice cream.

That's about it! I hope you enjoy my literary ramblings.
